The 2025 SoCal Explorer Competition kicks off with an exhilarating team bonding check-in day on July 18, 2025, at Lara’s Labyrinth Escape Rooms! Teams will check in at their assigned times and dive straight into the action, with each group being assigned a unique escape room. The fastest teams to solve the puzzles with the fewest clues used will earn up to 10 extra points to boost their overall competition score. Teams are encouraged to take this seriously, as, in past years, just a couple of points have made all the difference in the final standings. In addition to the escape room challenge, teams will also receive operational plans for several key scenarios they'll face throughout the weekend, giving them a glimpse into the adventure ahead. Get ready for a day full of teamwork, strategy, and excitement as the SoCal Explorer journey begins!

**Start times will vary and will be emailed to each POST.  Please show up at your designated time.**

2025 True North Award Winner Fontana Police Department

The True North Award symbolizes the guiding principles of respect, positivity, and integrity.  Just as True North represents an unwavering direction and a constant point of reference, this award honors the team that consistently demonstrates a strong moral compass, staying true to values of respect, cooperation, and a positive attitude throughout the competition.  It celebrates those who inspire others by leading with authenticity and kindness, acting as a steady and reliable force, much like the North Star guiding explorers on their journey.
